Gore CNT, LMT, CMTA have together worked at Valley Alternative
Clinic for 12 years. They each have solid reputations in their
community as healers and masters in their chosen fields and
are greatly valued for their work. They are bringing their
experience and wisdom to the wonderful healing environment
of the rice fields of Bali, plus their openness to all that
this profoundly mystical and beautiful island has to offer.
Bali is one of the most spiritual places on earth, and we will be gathering
in a small village just outside the artisan town of Ubud (which means healing).
While still a vibrant center for the arts and culture, it is set in the foothills
and far from the "madding" tourist centers.
During our time in Bali there will be a total eclipse of the Sun, not visible
from where we are but nonetheless, being in Bali, we will be in a place where
all lunations and cycles are celebrated and honored. We are extremely fortunate
to be gathering together at such a time, and there is no more powerful time
as an eclipse, nor place as powerful as Bali, for "beginning" new
journeys.
Heidi and Linda have found that in dealing with patients and their health situations
there is a large component of difficulty with individuation and self empowerment.
Blockages both physical and emotional have been important factors. Plus, the
great American Diet has been a constant sticking point- both the kinds of food
eaten and the prescribing of a multitude of diets that are confusing at best.
The discovery of the Metabolic Typing system, a short time ago, has begun a
new process for patients to explore their own systems and find out what works
for them.
This workshop is for those who wish to explore methods of enhancing their health,
not only through professional work but also through self treatment.
Happiness
and health are again becoming the core of the journey.
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Dates: July 26th through August 3rd 2008
Everyone is required to arrive on July 26th so there will be time for acclimating
and recovering from jet-lag,(that night's accommodation being part of the package).
THE PATH
We are going to take a journey of exploring the mysteries and traditions of Bali, with Linda and Heidi as co-guides, sharing their own personal wisdom and wealth of experience along the way. Daily massages come as part of the package, as well as consultations and treatments from Linda and Heidi, and ample time will be spent immersed in the wonders of Bali.
As with any journey of exploration and healing we are going to allow it to unfold and develop into its full potential by staying open and fluid to the needs of the group.
On the day of the Total Solar Eclipse (August 1st) at 6 am in the morning we
will head for an ancient Balinese temple in a town called Tampak Siring, where
we will join the local people in a ritual bathing/purification ceremony followed
by a temple blessing. This is an optional event, and women during their cycle
do not participate. That evening there will be another optional group trip
to watch a Kecak (fire) Trance dance. This will be paid for individually (approx
$10US).
Our Program will end after the afternoon session on August 3rd. We will be
having a farewell dinner (paid for individually) that evening at a beautiful
restaurant close by, and we hope all participants will join us for this.
Full Accommodation Shared Room Package
$1,800 per person ~ includes the full workshop program, treatments, hotel (double
occupancy) for 8 nights, 2 meals a day (breakfast and lunch buffet) and transportation
to and from Denpasar airport (a 1-hr commute). Transportation to the New Moon
Temple ceremony is also included. Airfare not included.
