Evelyn Roberts

Evelyn Roberts is the founder, organizer, and facilitator of "Heaven and Earth Workshops". Herself a full-time astrologer, she holds the Diploma from The Faculty of Astrological Studies and Certification from Liz Greene's Centre for Psychological Studies, both London-based schools. She is the ISAR (International Society for Astrological Research) VP and official representative for Bali, and holds the ISAR Certified Astrological Professional (C.A.P.) qualification.

Born in Scotland, she has lived in Southern California since 1975. Besides having a busy astrological consultancy practise, Evelyn has taught classes for many years in the Santa Ynez Valley. She is a co-author, with 11 other astrologers, of "Under One Sky", released in 2004 by Seven Paws Press.

Over the years, her desire to support the astrological community has led Evelyn to organize regular seminars with speakers from various parts of the United States and Europe. Highly successful, these seminars have included such internationally acclaimed speakers as Lynn Bell, Darby Costello, the late, great, Zip Dobyns, Maritha Pottenger, Barbara Schermer and Glenn Perry.

Evelyn is as passionate about traveling the world as she is about astrology, and she has successfully combined these two passions for the last few years. With lap-top in tow, she has covered several continents, keeping her clientele alive and thriving, staying connected to them via e-mail and phone. She spends two thirds of each year traveling, and the rest of the time in California.

"Of all the places I have been, Bali has captured my heart and imagination the most. In 2004, while traveling around the world, I spent two months on this magical island, and fell in love with the people and the land.

I rented a home in the rice-fields outside Ubud, and every morning would watch the dawn from my bedroom window. Directly in my line of vision was Melati Cottages, and in particular the beautiful Meditation Hall, from which often emanated the most mesmerizing chanting or drumming.

I began to imagine bringing fellow astrologers together in this place of spirituality and great beauty (Neptune making a last contact to my Aquarian Sun did help!). The seeds were sown, and a few e-mails and discussions with my friends Steven Forrest and Lynn Bell later, the idea circled the globe from Bali to Paris and North Carolina, and 'Heaven and Earth Workshops' was born.

And this was only the beginning... now as this program is well into its 4th year, I am delighted to be able to say this dream did come true, and I am not the only person drawn to this beautiful island. The support and enthusiasm of the speakers and participants holds testament to this wonderfully encouraging fact and, like me, they all want to keep coming back!"
