Travel Plans

Flights to Bali arrive in Denpasar (DPS). There are no direct flights to Bali from the USA, and the usual countries to be routed through are Taiwan, China (Hong Kong), Japan or Thailand, dependent on the airline used. Total travel time can be anywhere between 17 and 22 hours. Plenty of time to catch up on those books you never have time for!

There are of course direct flights from Australia to Bali, and from all other countries routing will depend on the airline used.

Tickets

For travel to Bali, the best prices generally available from the US are through Air Brokers International:

www.airbrokers.com or phone 800-883-3273. Please go to extension #223 and speak to Eimerd who is working with our groups, or email him at eimerd@airbrokers.com.

There are also some very good rates through www.cheaptickets.com , some with 2 stops going through Honolulu and Guam. It helps to play around with different dates if you have a little flexibility in your schedule.

For flights to other destinations, or from other countries to Bali, special prices can be found on-line or through promotional offers from the individual airlines. If we become aware of any we will post them immediately.

Others of you may be able to use your accumulated travel 'Miles'. United, for example requires 65,000 'Miles' for a ticket from the USA to Bali.

We recommend that you check into the frequent flyer program for the airline you choose. For example China Air is affiliated with Delta, so through their SkyMiles program you can accumulate almost 18,000 miles on a roundtrip ticket to Bali from Los Angeles. Affiliate frequent flyer programs can be found on the airline's web-site. Joining these programs is free.

Visas

It is the responsibility of each individual to check on the visa requirements in regards to their nationality and ultimate destination.

A tourist visa of up to 30 days will be issued upon entry into Indonesia for US, Australian and UK citizens. For all other nationalities please check the immigration laws pertaining to what passport you hold. Please check with your closest Indonesian Embassy as the laws change frequently. The site below is an excellent source for finding the locations of embassies and visa requirements.

Passports

You must have 6 months or more until your passport expires in order to enter most countries. If your passport is due to expire in less than 6 months, you should have it renewed before traveling.
