"Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow:
Recurring Planetary
Themes"
with
Michael Lutin and Darby Costello
May 6th -15th, 2009
Two of the most vivacious, charismatic and brilliant astrologers
in the field today, Michael Lutin and Darby
Costello will be
circling the planet, (Michael flying West and Darby East), in
order to touch down and meet on the magical, mysterious island
of Bali. Here they will convene in a beautiful traditional pagoda
set in the middle of the lush and verdant ricefields, and with
those lucky enough to join them they will set out on an exciting
astrological journey This is a "not to be missed" event
suitable for both the most serious professional practitioner
and the budding astrology student.
Why are we here? What are we doing?
All of us are born into the world with centuries of lives woven
into our beings. As living seeds grow in fertile wombs, our ancestors
meet and mix the genetic material that becomes our own. We are
born and take our first breath and our birthchart is a picture
of that moment. It is also a picture of the power and potential
of our lives - and the struggles and limitations within which
we will forge those lives.
Is there some mysterious purpose for our landing in one particular
family? Whether we chose it or not, one fact remains: The horoscope
describes with uncanny accuracy our early life on Earth and the
situations, circumstances and events which form our vision of
reality, including the gifts we are given and the damage that
is done.
How much can we change and how much must we accept? That is the
purpose of this workshop.
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Dates: May 6th through May 15th , 2009
Everyone is required to arrive on May 6th so there will be time
for acclimating and recovering from jet-lag,(that night's accommodation
being part of the Melati package).
Once everyone has arrived on the 6th we will have a welcoming
orientation meeting in the Meditation Hall, this will be held
early evening once everyone has arrived.
The workshop proper will officially begin on May 7th . At 9.30
am we will come together in the Main Meditation Hall, starting
at our official opening time of 10.00 am. We have chosen our
starting time astrologically, and you can view our "opening" chart
here.
Daily Schedule
6:00 am - 7.30 am~ Optional Daily Yoga
7:00 am - 8:45 am ~ Buffet Breakfast for Melati Cottages residents.
9:00 am -12:00 pm ~ Morning Session
12:00 pm - 3:00 pm ~ Lunch/Relaxation Break ~ Buffet Lunch for
Melati residents.
3:00 pm-6:00 pm ~ Afternoon Session
Evenings Free
Darby and Michael will alternate teaching morning and afternoon
sessions, and on occasion will work together. At some point during
the program they may each take a (if needed) day off, and the
other will teach a full day. There is a term in Indonesian 'jam
karet'.. it means 'rubber time', and it would be wonderful if
participants would stay flexible to the schedule changing or
morphing into something that suits this particular group.

On the morning of the Full Moon, May 9th, at 6.00 am in the
morning we will head for an ancient Balinese temple in a
town called Tampak Siring, where we will
join the local people in a ritual bathing/purification ceremony followed
by a temple blessing. This is of course an optional event,
and women during their
cycle do not participate. That evening there will be another optional group
trip to watch a Kecak (fire) Trance dance. This will be paid
for individually (approx
$10 US). That day we will have a teaching session between the time we return
from the temple, around 10.30 am, until 1.00 pm, and then a shorter session
from 2.00~4.00 pm. There will then be a break before we all
go to the dance performance.
Because many participants are restricted as to their time in Bali,
we will be having a half day on Sunday, May 10th. Michael and Darby
will teach a joint session that morning that will end around 1.00
pm. This will leave a half day and evening to explore the island,
go to the beach, go shopping or to spend an ecstatically hedonistic
time in one of the spas.
Our Program will end after the afternoon session on May 15th. We
will be having a farewell dinner that evening (paid for individually)
at a beautiful restaurant close by, and we hope all participants
will join us for this.Requirements: This workshop will be of great
value to astrology students/practitioners at any level. Absolute
beginners or professionals alike are most welcome.
We will also be working with personal astrology charts and we invite
people to bring theirs with them to Bali for this purpose. We do
have the use of an LCD projector.
Readings: Both Darby and Michael will be available for some private
readings during the workshop time. Please contact them directly
concerning this.
Recording: We are planning a professional quality recording of
the whole workshop, and this will be available on the Internet
for purchase by the individual lecture, so if you miss any part
of the program you will have an opportunity to hear it later. Participants
are welcome to record the program themselves, but only from where
they are seated, it is too distracting to everyone if people constantly
get up and down and place things in front of the speakers. We thank
you for understanding.
